What could be wrong
- 1Battery is weak or old
- 2Alternator isn't charging
- 3Alternator belt is loose
- 4Poor earth or corroded battery terminal
What you can check yourself
Measure the battery voltage. Engine off: about 12.6 V. Engine running: 13.8–14.7 V. Make sure the terminals are clean and tight. You can check the simple things yourself, but the repair is best done in a workshop.
How we fix it
- We load-test the battery
- We measure alternator output
- We replace the battery or alternator, or fix the earth
