P0193 Fuel pressure sensor signal too high
P0193 means: Fuel pressure sensor signal too high. The fuel pressure sensor tells the engine computer how much pressure there is in the fuel rail. Drive gently and have the car checked soon. The repair usually costs about €80–450 in Estonia. The most common cause: connector is loose or corroded.
What it means
The fuel pressure sensor tells the engine computer how much pressure there is in the fuel rail. The sensor voltage is too high. Usually a wire is shorted or the sensor has failed.
What could be wrong
- 1Connector is loose or corroded
- 2Wire is broken
- 3Sensor has failed
What you can check yourself
Check the sensor connector. The sensor is usually at the end of the fuel rail. You can check the simple things yourself, but the repair is best done in a workshop.
How we fix it
- We measure the sensor supply and signal
- We repair the wire
- We replace the sensor (on some cars together with the rail)
